The everyday gudda. About 35 inches wide, and the size that flies in ordinary Lahore wind.

The largest kite the law allows: 40 by 34 inches. Wants steady wind and a firmer dor.

The same 40 by 34 inch gudda as the 1.5 tawa, built to a premium standard for flyers who want the best kite on the roof.

Cotton dor wound as a QR-coded pinna, within the 9 tar and 28 count limits. No charkhi.

Cotton line under load opens bare hands. This is the most common injury at Basant.

Wrap your fingers before you fly. Cotton dor under load cuts skin, and a few turns of tape is the cheapest protection there is.
Prefer a ready-made pack? These six are pre-booked on Bugo, from The Kite Fighters in Karim Block, Allama Iqbal Town. Buying opens only once the Punjab Government announces the permitted selling date — until then Bugo takes the reservation, not the money. Everything on this page is still sold singly; a bundle is a convenience, not a minimum.

A patang is the standard kite; a gudda is the larger one, graded in tawa. One tawa is about 35 inches wide and is what most roofs should fly. One and a half tawa, at 40 × 34 inches, is the legal ceiling — there is nothing above it, and anyone offering a 2 tawa is offering an offence. The names in full, and how to measure a kite against the limit.
Search for kite door price in Lahore or patang door price in Pakistan and you will find the same thing under two spellings: dor is frequently written door, and both mean the same cotton line. Ours is sold as a two-piece pinna at Rs 8,000 — plain cotton, inside the 9 tar and 28 count limits, wound on a QR-coded ball, never on a charkhi.
Piece count is the number that moves the price: a four-piece carries roughly double the line of a two-piece and costs close to double. Which pinna a roof needs, and what tar, count and winding do to the price per yard.
The dor rules in full, and the penalties behind them.
Everything on this list is sold singly from Lahore at the published price — kites by the tawa grade, 100% cotton dor on QR-coded pinnay, and the gloves and tape that stop the afternoon going wrong.
Selling is paused while our registration is suspended by the Punjab Government — see the notice. The prices stay published so you can plan, and we answer questions either way.
